Description of Issue

I have Roon on my 2013 MacBook Pro (running Mojave 10.14.6), which is one of my remote controllers for the core.

Today Roon simply refuses to launch on the MacBook Pro. It starts to load up and then crashes out.
I have already re-downloaded it and replaced it, and it still won’t launch.

No problem using Roon from my iPad and iPhone.

All very odd! Don’t appear to have any other problems with the MacBook Pro.

Hello @support any tips here?

Hi @ajl ,

Thank you for your patience here while your case has reached our queue!

Can you please confirm if a manual database reinstall helps with this?

  • Create a Backup of your current database
  • Exit out of Roon
  • Navigate to your Roon Database Location (on your Mac ~Library folder)
  • Find the folder that says “Roon”
  • Rename the “Roon” folder to “Roon_old”
  • Reinstall the Roon App from our Downloads Page to generate a new Roon folder
