Wrong song list for Anne-Sophie Mutter album

Content you’re reporting an issue with

I have an issue with the following album of Anne-Sophie Mutter (Recital 2000)

Have you made any edits to this content in Roon?

Is the album identified in Roon?

Is this content from local files, TIDAL, or Qobuz?

The album is correctly identified, and a Qobuz version is also showing up, with exactly the same wrong track lists.

Description of the issue

The correct track list (in this case from the Qobuz player) is as follows:

The list shown by ROON (only the last tracks) is as follows:

As you can see, the Crumb track list is too long, and the Webern and Respighi are only mentioned at the last two songs. This is similar for the Qobuz entry, hence I guess this is a ROON database error that is both wrong for my own files as the one from Qobuz.

I tried to fix it by telling ROON to force to use my own track info. This fixes the track list, but the composers keep the same offset, and hence are wrongly mentioned (the last 3 tracks should be from Respighi).

There is no way in the settings to override the composer

This means I cannot fix this myself. Can ROON confirm this is a bug in their database?

I forgot to mention that the Webern tracks are also tagged as Crumb as the composer. So ROON persistently overrides it’s own Composer information.

By an advice in the other thread (thx again), I found a way to remove the faulty composers, and add the correct one (via the CREDITS option):

After removing the faulty composers, and adding the right ones, the track list is correct again.

I must say the user interface is a bit confusing here, having to find a click a couple of levels deep to correct tags. Maybe as a suggestion; e.g. right clicking on a tag should give the option to change/override it?

Hi @Marc_Heijligers . The problem stems from bad TiVo metadata which you can see here on allmusic (which consumes the same data).

I’ve emailed TiVo, asking for a correction. They are usually prompt (though it’s now the weekend). This will probably be fixed in your library within 10 days.

Thx a lot for your help! :raised_hands:
