If it would have compromised the program, or if it would have cost an enormous effort in coding, I could understand it, but neither is the case.

DSD ISO Support

@Mind_Meld – Roon provides more than just a gui front end and metadata, but yah… you are right, we could add support for DSD ISO. However, it is not a trivial amount of work. For example, what happens to the copy to folder action when you are selecting just 1 track to export? same goes for deleting… same goes for moving tracks… some of these operations no longer make any sense, and some just have to work differently. There are many situations like this in Roon, and we have to consider them all. …

Unfortunately, Roon does not support FLAC + CUE files. I wrote a bit to why we don’t support this (the conversation is about DSD ISO vs DSF, but the same applies to FLAC+CUE vs FLAC): DSD ISO Support We used to do FLAC+CUE back with Sooloos v1 as well, but since then, we’ve built an audio engine that can render sample accurate gapless playback between tracks, even from different sources. The main reason for FLAC+CUE is because many players couldn’t do that. Same goes for DSD ISO vs DSF files. …
