Even a lot of Windows users run into stack overflow errors. This has not been fixed by now IIRC.
So as Wine isn’t really officially supported, I suppose we just have to wait and see – it may get resolved some time or not. It’s already the second time Roon on Wine stopped working for me – first time it got “fixed” after around a year. 
If you still have your Wine bottle, then it’s in there.
