Asus NUC13 - any update on whether it's supported for ROCK

Akasa makes cases for 13th gen ASUS NUCs. I used an Akasa case for my Intel 7th gen NUC and it’s been a success.

I have also had a good experience with the Akasa Plato TN (NUC 11 and NUC 12).

There is a new version of the Plato that also supports the NUC13. The Plato WS

With my 28W TDP NUC11TNHi7 working flat out, my case keeps my processor at a maximum temperature of about 25 Celcius (45 deg F) above ambient. With more typical loads it keeps my processor to 5-10 Celcius above ambient.

Akasa cases are hard to buy in Oz.

I used a Plato on my NUC7. It was reliable and silent for years.

Just upgraded to NUC13 and installed into an Akasa Maxwell AC Pro case. Taller than the Plato but narrower. Very high quality item. Allows NUC13i7 to run at full 40W TDP.

I got it on Amazon Australia site, but supplied by Amazon Germany. Landed here for almost exactly the same number of AUD that I paid for the Plato case 6 years ago.

Is this the right case? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CC867V4Q?ref=cm_sw_r_cso_cp_ud_dp_WXZQAZQ43VF8C3VQBRTR&ref_=cm_sw_r_cso_cp_ud_dp_WXZQAZQ43VF8C3VQBRTR&social_share=cm_sw_r_cso_cp_ud_dp_WXZQAZQ43VF8C3VQBRTR&starsLeft=1

And what 16GB RAM would you recommend?

Thank you!

That is the case I bought and installed into.

I have no recommendation for RAM suppliers. I’d just be looking for a well-known brand at a reasonable price!

Could it be said that an overspec’d ASUS NUC 13 Pro i7 could be comparable to the Roon Nucleaus Titan?

I would not say that. The Asus NUC 13 has a more powerful CPU than a Titan, since the Titan uses an i3 processor.

Depends on the i7 and the goal. In single thread speed there is probably little difference if any, but the i7 has more cores (if @Dameon_Jamie has 10 rooms he needs to play in with DSP)
