Barney was a Rubble
wherever he laid his hat was his home
Steven Wright. He was a funny guy.
“I was Caesarian born. You can’t really tell, although, whenever I leave the house I go out through the window”
I’m impressed that there exists a David Gilmour “throw” ( as we call it round here).
Not exactly a joke or an anecdote, but this is a Sunday go to. Some people may not get it
but I defy you not to laugh along with “The populode of the musicolly”
I took my son the see the Their Mortal Remains exhibition at the V & A, London in 2017.
We were ushered out through the merch. hall and we bought some great souvenirs including the throw, and I managed to snag a copy of the book with the limited edition cover.
Some very nice provenance . I have a mini PF shrine stashed away. My wife is happy to just go with the flow on these things. Simple pleasures
Hey! That’s really cool!
What’s the single?
Apples and Oranges.
Is that Alf on the shelf below?
It is. Legend
Edit: just realised I need to move the pig (Algie) as Syd looks like he’s smelling bacon!
Either that, or Algie’s gone off Syd. Alfred, yes, total legend.
In the Basement ??
Years ago I worked in a music shop, one of the employees was a PA builder who made bespoke “stacks” for bands and venues. He was an interesting character who drank barley wine almost constantly, but he did make awesome speaker cabinets!
He lived on a terraced street, with his friend and co-worker living almost opposite but a few doors down. On Sundays after a few drinks in the pub they would go home and have band practice. Martin played a Rickenbacker bass through an Orange stack set up permanently in the kitchen and his friend was a drummer, who had his kit in the front room; they opened the doors and the windows and would play for approximately forty minutes waiting for Sunday lunch to be ready.
The neighbours must have been so happy!
