Hmm good point but I don’t recall for sure, but I believe that most likely I finished the fresh install, started ARC, immediately went to settings and configured the basics in the order of the settings page (e.g., first the browsing preferences, then the streaming quality, etc.).
This order would then bring be to the download quality and the link to the SDL settings, where I most likely also went top to bottom. I.e., first flip the switch to enable, then set storage size, and last the quality.
It seems that the Cat Power Sings Dylan album was first on the download queue with the highest score, which makes serves because I am currently playing this all the time:
So it’s surely possible that this was already being downloaded before I switched the quantity to CD.
But I am not sure if this accounts for e.g. the Feist - Metals case (and the others I had mentioned) which seems to have come later in the queue:
