Best practices for ripping vinyl

I am using an Audio Technica AT-LP120x USB with an AT95SH cartridge. Connection to my MacBook Air M1 via USB and free Audacity Software to sample at 192khz.
The records are cleaned and washed before sampling. I use a simple German Knosti record washer and the result is very good. The recording is very easy to do and the sound is really great. It is a budget solution with very amazing results.

That was very much like my setup using besides using AT-LP5X

I highly recommend trying out Vinyl Studio Pro as the ripping and output software. I was amazed how much improvement it made to the sound quality especially removing clicks and hiss from some of my 40+ year old albums

I second this. Used it on a Mac mini. Front end was avid volvere sequel with vdh cartridge through a devialet 200 at the time. Recorded at 24/96. Made track naming and info simple and sounds great.
