I see; wasn’t clear to me if this was the case.

I’m not sure but it seems to me that the release notes are ambiguous. They do state this:

Cores, remotes, and ARC installations already running Roon 2.0 Production should update automatically. If you need to reinstall, the latest builds can always be found on the downloads page .

I would guess that everyone auto-updates but that those who experience the bug must install the hotfix manually, following the instructions in the release notes, because once the issue occurs it is not possible to auto-update anymore (because Roon crashes).

If the update only applied to the affected older macOS versions, then there would be two different production builds in the wild, which would be weird, too.
