But, let’s be clear, your post wasn’t a flagrant violation of the guidelines. If it was, it would have been moderated.

The jist of what you said is: because you don’t agree with what I said, you’re stupid, so your opinion doesn’t matter.

No doubt you’ll say that wasn’t your intention. And, my reply will be that the purpose of communication is the response it elicits. Which means it is your responsibilty to help the community understand your point of view.

I’m fine with my digital rigs. Yes, they aren’t the last word for every audiophile, and I’m happy and thrilled for those that will buy components @ scores of multiples of the cost of mine. If cost was no object, I’d be perhaps as keen to justify and yes, admonish around the finer points of gear upgrades. But hopefully lightheartedly! The peeps on this forum are aware that standards are high, anyway: that is the cost of entry.
