Mostly tho, in spite of what Roon devs believe, your experience and (recently) others’ experiences show that Roon (in some circumstances) still backs up a corrupted library.

The point is not that there was a Backup problem, but that there was no recognition or notification of a Backup problem.

Roon needs to face facts and realize they still have a problem with backing up corrupted databases. Until that’s re-addressed, any/all Roon backup schemes are a joke.

It does seem that this edge case issue has bypassed Roons guard allowing for a corrupted backup, so you’re in the right direction with that.

Yeah, my antennas are always out for Backup problems similar to my original complaint of 3 years ago.

My disk still checks out 100% healthy

Roon’s idea of a bad disk causing corruption has never been the case in the times I experienced corruption. After a Restore, I continued to run with the disks that I always had been using.

Backup problems hurt everybody, not just the OP.
