Distinct Pi Zero 2 W units getting "combined" as a single zone

Hi @ramonesfan ,

Did the reinstall of Roon Bridge change anything with regard to the issue?

Have you confirmed that DietPi on these units doesn’t exhibit the same issue even if the same HAT type is used?

Sorry for the delayed response, @noris.

I ended up reinstalling Ropieee from scratch on both units. I had done that before in the past (which hadn’t worked), but this time it did. The only difference was that I used images of slightly different versions of Ropieee when doing the initial install (one was the newest, one was a version behind). The units behaved as expected (as separate, individual endpoints).

The different Ropieee versions reported different kernel versions upon initial install, so I’m wondering if that was what helped Roon differentiate them and correctly assign unique GUIDs. Even after updating the older Ropieee version to the most recent, everything is still working as expected.

@noris And yes, the issue was not manifesting when using DietPi with identical HATs. Only when running Ropieee.
