That is one cool cat. Beautiful photo!

I have dogs, but my neighbor’s cat thinks I’m its human.

Wow Paul, that must be a Puli, right?

Bergamasco. Felts rather than cords.

Quite a lot, relatively speaking, in Scandinavia.

A real cool dude, for sure! Thx for sharing!

Thank you, Agreed, there must be a few rarer varieties (& species) around as well

Bergamasco is an old Italian breed, rescued by US breeders. Only about 50 in the UK and less than 2000 worldwide.

Thanks Mikael!

Yes, thanks. She’s almost human.

Our old neighbours had Schnauzers. I think they are wonderful dogs but unfortunately I am allergic to them. I had hoped they would be OK but that’s life. The Bergamasco was the first breed we found that is truly hypoallergenic.

Hi Mikael. Just seen this. Lovely!

And a great photo by the way…

Aren’t they all?

My theory has always been that dogs domesticated us, rather than the other way around.

Anthropologists and the like opine that dogs and humans co-evolved.

That neither species would be the way they became without the other.

I read somewhere that domestic dogs had evolved an extra muscle around their eyes and the theory suggests it was purely used for making ‘puppy dog eyes’ at humans. Crafty buggers!

Edit: Yup here it is…
