^ So…the tag is ‘album version’? I don’t have it; make custom, and ROON will pull it?
Yes it’s problematic. After setting up my Jazz&Blues tag for shuffle play, I went through the tag to remove duplicate albums; but had no idea what resolution or other version attributes I was looking at other than local/Tidal/Qobuz. It was going to require too much clicking in and out of album view for a 4000-album tag, so I just guessed and plowed through.
I keep thinking “first, do no harm” - i.e. don’t take away information or functionality.
@danny this has been highlighted elsewhere by other users. If you tag albums, like I do, the only metadata displayed is title and artist so you have no way of differentiating versions and format. Another user raised a similar point where he tagged his DSD albums but had no way to identify specific sample rates as that info is no longer displayed. Please add this functionality back in 1.8, it’s left me, and I imagine many other users, very frustrated. Thank, Simon
