I agree with you. What I like about ROON, is the simplicity. You just install it and use it.

ARC never worked good and my iPhone 14 Pro Max 1TB was always at high to critical temperature. The download speed to local memory is a real pain and ridiculous slow.

I had the same issue, I ended up putting my phone on a cooling platform when I was attempting to transfer local files to ARC.

To be honest, i thought it was probably “me” but if i read the comments, i know i am not alone with that kind of issues. There is also no support about that. As a paying user, you feel lonely and lost. And the community gives you a feedback “Hey, it’s you, Roon is perfect, so it’s you”.

We are reaching the point in which ROON is departing from the “you al holding it wrong” narrative (as someone put it) and taking this matter seriously.

Well, today it happened:

I installed the latest server and iphone updates and decided to give ARC one last shot. Setup and in-home test was smooth and without issue. Home screen brought up everything very quickly and was up-to-date.

I used the iphone to play lossless music through ARC for 3 hours while working in my in-laws’ yard. Roon Radio even worked - appropriate and entertaining! No overheating or glitching at all. Hopped in the truck to ride home and, within seconds, Roon was playing. I’ll test control through Carplay tomorrow on the way to the beach; but right now, I couldn’t be happier.
