The Decline of British Sea Power has dated badly. Had to switch to Dreamtime by the Stranglers.
Always the sun is the epitome of a great Uk single. Its so classy. Thats only to be expected when its the Stranglers.
Class never dates.

I enjoyed the two I listen to yesterday. Quite lovely.

Well, that’s the snow out of the way here. All gone!
Musically Scottish (not scotch) this afternoon.
Gillespie looks about 15 on the below photo, but was actually 22
Just ordered a few bits of vinyl from these guys. Not the cheapest, but a nice choice and an efficient delivery. Really good back story as well ![]()

@SukieInTheGraveyard Not sure if you are familiar with Candidate? They have been lurking in the background for 20+ years. You may find the last album worth a listen. Some of the tracks have a nice Norman Blake (recent) TFC vibe (see track 3). It’s not as good as Nuada, but it’s a nice record. ![]()

The ROON overview is a little bit peculiar ![]()

Thanks. Will give this a listen. I’m still stuck on Parallelograms which I really like. ![]()
I shall have a listen. Thanks for the recommendation. Their Bandcamp page has this colourful description:
Described by one critic as “the best available bridge between American lo-fi and the woody thrum of archaic Britfolk”
It takes a few listens to bed in, but I like it. They first got my attention due to the instrumental Song Of The Oss, which was used on Johnny Vegas’s ‘Ideal’ tv show.
Nuada is a much better album if you can get a listen to that.
Has anyone pulled the Internet connection out to test Roon carries on working?
