@AceRimmer @Michael_Harris guys, I have a surprise for you:
Not all their songs are good but some are almost beyond great…
Oh I knew it was full of real metal musicians from the credits shown in discogs even though it’s a total piss take.
Might have to dig into Posehn playbook a little deeper now though.
Think be more like a shot of Cocoa in my Brandy
Great pick by @Michael_Harris
I remember seeing the album cover in a store with blacklight posters. Blew my little mind
It does make an awesome poster, pretty sure I had it at one time on my bedroom wall when I were a yung un
Got a shipment from my friends at progrock.co.uk last week (finally), including this gem. Not sure if it is on any streaming service, but well worth seeking out for those into laid back prog.
I had that on v….&….c…
Glad you like it, have had several long listening sessions to this.
Up there with the Cherry Red in quality
Agreed. It’s a great selection so far, I’m about one and a half CDs in.
Unofficial official live bootleg from Madison Square Gardens.
SQ not too bad for this type of thing.
Official unofficial sounds a bit shady to me
Confirmed my tickets to see these on the 23rd March now as my challenging (timing wise) meeting was moved
Yes…very shady I will agree…lol.
Outstanding bag on the Haken concert tickets… enjoy!
This is one of favourite albums, so I recently splashed out on the Japanese MQA-CD version - mainly since it seems to be the only way to get this in hi-res. Ripped using dBpoweramp and MQATagRestorer, it plays at 24bit/352.8kHz through my Lumin T2 (although Roon thinks it’s 16bit). The CD is made from the 2013 DSD master. It sounds really, really good - has a DSD “warmth” to it that is not like the other masters I have, but very revealing and detailed. Great instrument separation and balance. All in all a very nice addition to my collection.
