To be honest, some time ago it was a little bit of an addict of mine, search for female fronted metal bands. Specially in the area of symphonic, gothic, epic metal it was not only eye candy, also the music was often very good.
She was backing vocals in this band
And she also has a solo album. Checking that out shortly I think.
Edit:
She’s listed twice?? Primary artist and lead vocals?? Maybe not here solo album
Congrats - you can’t go wrong with Arcam (stereo) gear! I’m sure it’ll make a big difference to your listening experience!
While talking about pretty music, another one I like:
Just found this one:
I read once, Charlie Watts got famous with Rolling Stones, but his passion was Jazz music.
Good timing with your post, I finally checked out the Paul Simon original album collection on Amazon today after about 6 months in my basket.
it is def her solo album. Roon search is censoring it. I found it immediately in Apple Music, Tidal, but Roon search asked for some dedication.
So, you liking the Sundara’s then Peter?
Yes Martin, I do!
I did listen with them now daily at least one hour. They present the music in a way I like. Currently I listen with the Bathys on the iPad using the built in DAC. It is also very good, but the Sundara has a bit more space, precision.
I leave Charlie now. I need something lighter.
You guys might throw me out of The Sundara Boys.
I purchased a pair of Audio Technica ATH-M50XGM today. I wanted a set of folding headphones for work. This version comes with a hard case.
Less than half the price of the closed backs I’ve got.
They arrive tomorrow.
My only gripe with the Sundaras is the Y style cable. I prefer a single cup feed. Also, my ear pads are deformed and small splits are appearing. Not what I’d expect so quickly for the price.
Sound wise I find the Sundaras great.
No idea how the M50XGM will sound, just a recommendation from someone I know. Someone with ears I trust over mine.
As long as you still own Sundaras you can stay. But we put you under observation.
I heard some AT models with spl audio phonitor xe some weeks ago. Also something I could live easily with.
The Sundara are def not the cans you use outside of the house.
Which closed-backs do you currently use?
