Well you go and tell Don Dokken that then :sunglasses:

Actually I think it might supposed to be a Hippogriff

His voice is very different. Not bad, mind you, just different. Almost like there is a new front. The rest of the lot sounds like Dokken of olde.

I will have to mull that one a bit.

Really liked The Kills.

Same time period and similar style to SKY but more synthy.

Another from yesteryear come back from the dead.

Nothing groundbreaking, but solid.

Common problem for older metal singers as time takes it’s toll.
They generally have to find a new way to sing, usually a much lower range and even key, which is what it appears Don has done.

You need a bit more quality control it does seem like you buy what ever is in the shop.

Yep it’s a good one, need to listen again with no work.

Indeed common across the board. Metalists () tend to abuse their pipes with a bit more abandon.

Last week I was positively floored that Loreena McKinnett sounded just like she did 30 years ago. Was prepared to hear that low soprano raspy that is the norm. Nope. Stellar, glass breaking clarity. Probably the best concert I have seen this year with regard to musicianship. Bonus, she’s just as wacky as she ever was.

You got something against Robbie Williams then?
Oh Babymetal fanboi🤣

Well enough of this streaming malarkey, time for real music :sunglasses:

Any takers on the Analogue Productions “75” vinyl project?

I admit it, I bought the first two SACD versions. I was even a bit annoyed the Phil Collins wasn’t offered on shiny disc. I hope they live up to the hype. At least the White Stripes back order is coming along with.

Maybe more like to JB😃

Only around 1500. I add around 30 new releases a year. More than enough for me.

Never heard of them, but I like roadhouses, so…why not?

Going through some 80s albums and I thought I share couple that are most likely not that well known.

Winner of Finnish Rock Championship in 1984 (yes, there really was that contest for many years…). Hard rock, slightly similiar to Motörhead.

And then Stone that was very promising Thrash band with their second album (much better than cover). I remember when they were interview with Metallica (on their And Justice For All tour).

(First post here even if I said to @AceRimmer that I won’t post here until thread name is changed. Still waiting that to happen :joy:)

Only teasing. You seem to find better hauls than the rest of us. Off to a new place tomorrow to see if I can find anything but I dont hold much hope. Going to have to go further afield now I feel, exhausted local supply and they dont seem to updating anything as getting ready for XMAS stuff and CD’s don’t seem to be taking much space. Perhaps in the new year they will return.

Call me jealous, but I have the impression, you buy what you get. James Brown ok. But the rest?
