Climax Blues Band Live FM now. Another underrated and extremely talented band. Pete Haycock on lead is one of the best around.
I only saw them once. That was at Sheffield Uni around 1980. They had so much bass that night. The place was shaking. They put on a cracking show.

Moved on to more Climax BB Live. This was a band who really struggled to deliver the goods in the studio. Live is where they really came to life.
I have a few of their CD’s. The Live at the BBC boxset is really high quality.
Live, this band rocked very hard and loud. They also could play delightful slow blues
Tracks like Whatcha Feel really turned into lengthy improved jams.
Check them out

Total change now to The Beatles and Love Songs. I remember buying this album when released from a record shop in Sheffield called Bradleys. Cost around £3.49.
Back then there were independent record shops absolutely everywhere in Sheffield(and everywhere else)
Now theres not a single independent record shop in Sheffield centre.
Love songs is a really nice compilation. And you do get Yes it is.
I still have the original single. It was a b side.
That’s good to hear. I’ve changed the unused app settings for Roon ARC (and Roon) in GrapheneOS, and it’s been working well while listening to this album this morning.
Just a shame Roon on Wine is broken once again.

#339: Breakfast for $1.85! What a bargain!
Disc #3 reminded me I need to get Chapterhouses album digitally.
After a busy morning at one of our sites, finally sitting down with a cup of coffee and some tunes.
This one is growing on me.
Can’t say I am unhappy that last one is over.
#340: Not readily available to me.
So, moving on to #341:
My first ever Joni album! Bought in 1975 I believe. I have everything she has done I think. Till then I only had Carly Simon’s albums, Tapestry by CK and later DSOTM by PF, then Tubular Bells and Ommadawn by MO. But for years it was just Carly. I didn’t get into male singers until about 10 years after another breakthrough in my therapy.
Heart Joni, but I am more on Team Carole.
That said, MoFi is re-releasing her first six albums so I’ll have those on the shelf eventually.
You’ll get on well with @ged_hickman1. He likes a bit of Tom Waits, too.
I don’t dislike Waits per se, but for the love of the gods that one reminded me of listening to a drunken uncle ramble on about nothing at Thanksgiving dinner. PTSD? I dunno.
