Let's Talk about what's Moving and Grooving you today! [2024-03]

Just some great power metal with my coffee before I head to the airport to travel to the frozen wasteland known as the UP of Michigan

All my equipment handled 24/96 so with the price or storage I thought ‘why not’. It sounds great to me and very convenient.

Yes some of my older, badly maintained (by a teenager who knew no better :grimacing: ) are not crystal clear and detailed with headphone listening. But on the main stereo they sound fine and some of them sound really good indeed.

I think adding the Shibata stylus on the AT TT made a big improvement to the recording quality as it was a big upgrade on the included one.

A lot of mine are punk anyway so we’re never clear! The clean up process/de clicker does give them a good start though.

Yes I am very grateful for the pointer towards Vinyl Studio Pro, I feel like that has reduced the effort by around 95% which means re-ripping if i find a problem is not an issue.

I knew I should not have written that out loud, but I should have added for £350 :grinning:
I think the version with the Phono Pre-amp is even more expensive :grimacing:

It was the track splitting and naming that did it for me being the Luddite that I am! Even getting it in the ballpark so I could finish it off.

That’s just the appetizer which does help but lead in time etc make it more of a guide.
The de-noising and click and pop removal is the best dessert .

Let’s not forget the auto naming of tracks and linking to Discogs… so maybe that is the appetiser and the track splitting is the main course.

Do you think we have earned our commission now, I feel like we have worked hard for it

On now. David Scott deserves far more acclaim. Beautiful classic songwriter and arranger. This isn’t his best, but it’s still lovely.
