It didn’t help either, so everything went back to the origin. It’s a good thing that you can return everything in mail order today… 
I took the opportunity to clean the old fan on my NUC 
and lo and behold, the thing is suddenly quiet again and not as loud for a long time. Result: Saved money and learned to clean the fan every two years…

Probably a good idea as well to apply some new thermal paste on the CPU. That stuff tends to get flaky and less conductive over time. So that should keep the CPU even cooler.

Is Roon scanning your files, or is this your normal ambient temperature? I just rebooted my nuc and you can see high temp when scanning files. Once scanning is finished, the temp is normal.
Can you try a smaller volume music library? This will help to decide if your large library is the problem.
I have looked in to this for you.
A high VID voltage than others.
Your TDP is also 15 watts, lower than the 28 watts others have.
Worth looking at these items
#479: That last one is the first I have jumped out of early. This one is not readily availble on my streamers, but I happen to own and love it. Will use phone to cleanse ear pallet.
