Glenn Mercer
Incidental Hum (2015)
I’ve always been a big Feelies fan & would rate them toward the top (whatever that means) of all time fav bands. So, naturally I like Glenn Mercer solo albums (all two of them). This feels more like a demo in many ways without the vocals. The best tracks sound like the main rhythms of tracks that the Feelies would instrumentally flesh out - in a good way. However, I think a few of the tracks have been included to create a full length album.
Last year’s Feelies Velvet’s cover album wasn’t bad. It received fairly strong review from what I read. I was expecting better. He also did some tours with Yo La Tengo which he’s down perviouslu.
