Leveraging existing metadata in audio files

probably no point now, as the only way I could find to get round it, was to manually insert the artist field into the iTunes tagging info. This then forced roon to tag it correctly.

I’ll see if I can pull up whats on it now though in case anything funny came though.

Im far more confused by that composer one. Again something errant forced roon to pick up a completely random composer and attach it to a modern piece of music that was In no way related.

however largely I’m very happy.

still got 11 days of trial left. May have to let it lapse, as I don’t currently have a supported tablet (borrowing one for the trial). Once I get my tablet i’ll try to decide between lifetime or yearly subscription.

I currently use Musichi tagger to tag my classical music files. It is the best system I have found for classical music tagging.

However, many of the tags are custom tags which are not usually picked up.

JRiver Media Center has a feature where you can create custom fields to import custom tags.

Does such a feature exist in Roon? If not, when can I expect something like this to be implemented?
