My apologies, Jim, it was not intended as an insult. I always understood you were a commercial pilot, not a lawyer, so am surprised by your unyielding position on the subject. I don’t think either of us are experts–although I have a lot of experience with software licensing–and it seems to be an area, even in US jurisdictions, where courts cannot agree.

My background and career was B of S in Engineering from NC State University and MBA from University of Wisconsin and 34 years with a Fortune 100 US Company. Not a lot different from yours I think.
No, not really. Engineer with an MBA, too, and worked the last part of my career for a privately owned company that would have been FTSE 100 if floated.
