I did too the riffs are catchy. Once Cathedrals of Blood comes on I’m hooked for the rest of the album. Btw, I like that kind of death metal, it’s been growing on me!
I wonder if any of us will still be alive to witness this wondrous occasion?
Well with Florida weather you might not, but I imagine the rest of us will.
Take more than a wee bit o’rain to shut me up
Here is very good new album for death/doom fans that has well deserved multiple listens here already. Formed by Greg Mackintosh (Paradise Lost) after they ended their Vallenfyre band.
Nice new Doom album here as well, though not very heavy, it has a nice feeling to it.
Going well with my cooking dinner
Yes, that is definitely lighter. Doom metal, goth rock and even some pop influences but I listened it only shortly last week so you know much more about that one.
Thanks for this, I think I would have missed it completely. Nice thrash/death and maybe there are some elements from Death, Cynic, Atheist etc. in this one…
Btw. you like Death’s The Sound of Perseverance. If you have not already listened, then maybe check couple classics Cynic: Focus and Atheist: Unquestionable Presence.
I like it a lot, quite light but has a good atmosphere as it goes on. just added your recommendation as well thanks
This album I found while searching for a band that @Henri posted in the Listening thread, Spiral Architect.
Nothing on Qobuz or Tidal but it did bring up this interesting complilation album.
I’m enjoying it.
Hope there might be something of interest to you all as well.
Today I have mood to re-listening Black Widow by In This Moment again and again .

They were awesome to see live, great time!
New Lorna Shore album was released today and it is very good example of extreme metal vocals. There are everything from low growls to pig squeals. Much better album than album cover art…
This album was especially interesting after watching video how Will uses his voice. Video was shared here by @Henri earlier this year but here is link again.
Waiting to listen to this when I get home later tonight!
Interesting to hear what you think. Already listened it 3 times today and it keeps getting better. In some parts this maybe could be described as deathcore version of Cradle Of Filth…
Just finished listening to it in its entirety and I must admit it’s superb. I can’t think of a down moment or a bad song, will definitely be giving it more complete playthroughs here in the coming week!
