Maybe I missed a thread on it but the Roon website now states that subscriptions are monthly.
12 x 9.99 = 119.88 for a year (BILLED ANNUALLY)
Oops …missed that
It says annually billed so it’s just the normal annual sub broken down to a monthly cost. Makes it more palatable to some perhaps, but it’s not a monthly pricing tier.
Does anyone know why they insist on doing this, when it would make more sense to do it monthly, Ă la Tidal and Qobuz?
My guess is billing managemet for monthly subscription is too expensive.
Ah, gotcha
Surely it’s no more administratively difficult, this stuff has to be easily automated, you just tick the “bill monthly” box on your software rather than “bill annually”.
With interest rates at approximately zero, there is no time value of money
Indeed.
I actually didn’t start this thread to discuss the pros and cons of monthly billing.
I started it because I completely misread the website and stupidly thought monthly billing had already come in. My apologies.
