I’m kind of old school. I tend to listen to music one album (rather than one track) at a time. I do sometimes listen to playlists from ROON, Tidal or Qobuz. Which brings me to this: If you have a Qobuz subscription that you play via ROON, and you like their playlists, why not just listen to the Qobuz playlists via ROON?
And just when I thought I had seen the most bizarre iteration of the algorithm issue–check out what was served up to me today under the guise of “Performing the music of The The” (the Matt Johnson fronted alternative band best known for songs like, ‘Uncertain Smile’, and “Infected”):
It went on and on for several pages, without a single actual The The song. It doesn’t make sense on any level I can figure out. @nathan
And am I correct in reading this playlist queue as being more than three days long? I guess it found the word “the” and ran with it!
Wow, 2 versions of the songs often considered Dublin’s anthem - Molly Malone.
Not versions I’d recommend however.
Possibly the best of those on Qobuz is this one by the Dubliners
But it doesn’t quite hit the heights when sung from Hill 16 when Dublin win the All-Ireland final but that’s a thing of spine tingling beauty that not many are lucky enough to experience in their life.
