I have thought of doing that several times, then I forget

Yep, exactly, that’s what confused me: I thought the thread was about an upcoming 2022/23 ZS.

Is it possible/likely that this will support 768Khz out via USB? I’m asking just in case iFi has said something somewhere to the effect that they will never do 768.

It will depend on the range, I think some people would like it to be a signature edition that that might be possible. If it does it will likely be much more expensive than the current model.

The current mode is pretty much at it’s limits in terms of 384 USB and 192 for SPDIF, but even if they have two models at two price points it gives options in the market

Was anyone compare soundwise to Lumin U2 mini?

About 1500 post’s back I think someone listened to a side by side if my memory serves me correct (and no I’m not going to look)

It’s not really price comparable, and maybe the person was testing it with an improved power supply.

I just bought the 15v iFi I power X for my stream and should hopefully be testing that today with some new headphones.

Haha great you remember anyway!
I got the Zen Stream running with iFi iPowerElite 12V - which is a great add-on.eager to hear your impressions when comparing.

Agree! Got one on ifi ZS and other on ifi NEO

I think that one is the most expensive… almost 3/4 of the price of the stream
The Power X hopefully looked like enough of an improvement for me.
I will be testing it later

I think you got the iPower 2? That’s lower price:

Yes, I went all the way and got iPower X that is the next tier of power :zap:. My reason no stock of iPower2 at shop and few left on iPowe X 12v. The other is 5V for ifi NEO iDSD

No I got the iPower X as well, arrived yesterday and hopefully going in for testing today.
I have three of the original iPower plugs to drive the original Zen Dac and some Raspberry Pi’s as well and thought they made a small improvement

I think it was you mentioning the iPower X that made me decide to get one

Yes!! Amazing! I also used the iPower 2 of ifi NEO and also noticed some kick on my Rpi4 NAA there! Enjoy! Enjoy the glowing light on back . Regards

Well I am hoping that will be hidden.
It’s a terrible thing having all these glowing lights and nowhere to turn them down or off :see_no_evil:

Fits to the light show of the ZS
It’s always amazing to see the effect of power supply.

Thankfully it is out of the way but I can see it if I want too.
Running in the iPower X and headphones at the same time, so they will have a weekend of music to get themselves up to tip top condition.

Starting to think the stack needs to go higher and get the dedicated Dac and Headphone amp :see_no_evil:
