Now Playing Some Jazz [2026]

[Jazzfan_NJ (Listening to JAZZ since 1972!)]

The Lounge Lizards’ shows at The Knitting Factory were always wild. Super crowded, standing room only and hot and sweaty. Lots of fun!

Not playing some Jazz, but reading about it. A nice birthday present from my wife.

Very good sound and a very solid lineup. Available on Qobuz

You’re most welcome. I’m happy to share my knowledge of jazz. Jane Ira Bloom is only a few days younger than me and I’ve been following her career since The Mighty Lights recording. I’m pretty sure that she was/is based in NYC which I got to see hear her perform many times over the years.

And while we are on the subject of Janes, here’s another Jane that might also be new to you. This fantastic recording is available on Tidal and Qobuz. All of her other recordings are worthwhile as well, however “Spirits” is the special one.

Hi, I can’t find this album on Roon — is this album in your private library? Thanks

I have this album and it does NOT show as available in either Tidalor Qobuz. Qobuz has these Jane Ira Bloom recordings available:

If you find something you want is missing from qobuz’s library you can request it here, and it usually works…
