Parametric EQ advice for warmer/fuller sound

Play with what is there…use your ears…it’s only your ears that you need to please…other peoples settings are just that. Its going to depend on your room and your speakers to a large extent and the sensitivity of your hearing in the audio spectrum. Everyone is different

Get Room EQ Wizard software (free) https://www.roomeqwizard.com/ and a UMIK-1 (75USD) https://www.minidsp.com/products/acoustic-measurement/umik-1

  1. Measure room 2. Apply corrections 3. Import Convolution into Roon / Manually apply PEQ in Roon.

Thanks for these tips. I’m just going to experiment for a while. Gonna have some fun and see what happens!

I’ve posted this just above but here it is for quick reference.

Arda_Gurcuoglu,

Where did you end up on this? Did you get the result you were looking for? I also run Focal 2s powered by a very clean Cambridge Audio Edge NQ and W in a reasonably ‘live’ room. I settled on this:

I’m sure it could be tweaked, and it doesn’t follow the general EQ advice quite precisely, but it seemed to do the job without closing in the sound stage.

I entirely agree. My sound is much mellower now I have repositioned my Muso and added some more soft furnishings. Experimenting with equalizer settings just made the sound odd.
