I believe that it was the Pancake 2000 wireless ![]()
Iām guessing it might have been the Escape P6 Air. It was a hit with store customers. IIRC one owner posted his experience with it on Community.
PS Audio airlense.
Am I the only one that still uses their Squeezeboxes? I have an Squeezebox Radio and Touch still in use, the Radio being a mains and battery-powered streaming speaker (and radio) and works great with Roon.
I have two of these JBL Link Music.
They work with Bluetooth, AirPlay and ChromeCast, but I do prefer ChromeCast like all my other endpoints because itās not restricted to 16/44 and integrates nicely with all the other stuff I can control through the Google Home App.
Theyāre just for casual listening and a āwhole house experienceā in the kitchen and bedroom and fit their purpose quite well.
I use Roon to connect and stream to six Devialet Phantom I in a multi room configuration. It works extremely well, especially after I connected them all by Ethernet cables to a Roon Nucleus.
I have the first gen A9 and it is fun for what it is. I also found that at least this version is a little flaky with AirPlay over wifi. Switching to Ethernet helped.
But feeling itās RCA inputs with line outs from a simple DAC + Roon Ready streamer setup improved the sound quality noticeably.
Iām interested in transportable Roon Ready wireless speakers. I expect that the sound quality will always be better than the current alternatives when your main music source is Roon.
Hallo,
3x Naim Cube Gen.2 ((meistens) stabil und Zuverlässig über Roon RAAT)
thatās it!
Iād forgotten the Radio has a battery option. hmmm, I have a couple in a drawer.
I still use the Boom from time to time, but want something thatās truly wireless and portable
LS60ās here too⦠Roon is far better (obviously) than the KEF app. I have a couple of Sonos zones as well, I generally use Roon to control them as the Sonos app is flakey.
When we first opened the Roon Store, I had a white Phantom II 98 dB here to review for a few months. I was absolutely gobsmacked by the quality and amount of sound it delivered. I put it in a kitchen corner away from everything and positively loved the sound. On bass-heavy tracks, that little beauty kicked like a subwoofer. I was sad the day I packed it up for return.
I can only imagine what six full-sized Phantoms can dish out!
Sonos gear has always featured prominently in Roon customer systems, and Iām not surprised that itās still holding strong in the poll results. It connects seamlessly with Roon, sounds very nice, and is a simple, affordable way to add music to any room.
Weāve seen a lot of new customers with Sonos gear joining Roon lately, and their comments have been really positive. Itās inspiring to get feedback for small things like volume controls, reliable connectivity, and queue flexibility, as well as the local library features, music details, and browsing chops Roon is known for. More than that, itās great to welcome new Roon fans.
We have a Bluesound Pulse Flex 2i (Roon Ready) in the kitchen with the battery pack so we can occasionally take it outside. Sometimes we pair it with the main system in the living room. It has a few preset buttons which we have configured to play various Radio Paradise streams. I would love to see a deeper integration with Roon for these buttons someday.
WAF is always a very important spec for sure.
WAF is not a spec, important or otherwise. It is a red line!
I donāt have any wireless speakers, but I use Roon RAAT over WIFI to my listening room Pioneer HPM-60ās via RPi4, Meridian Prime, and Denon AVR-2805.
I assume you are not married. IF married please upload script you used to get 6 Phantoms in the door. ![]()
