ROCK on NUC vs. on Nucleus

A dealer that carries Nucleus claims that Nucleus has a version of ROCK that cannot be had / downloaded form Roon to be used with NUC.

According to the white paper (see last page where it says “based on…”)

I realize that this is just a guess, but it’s pretty far from the truth. There are fundamental and structural differences between general purpose linux distributions like Debian and RoonOS. You might find the Nucleus White Paper interesting.

It’s different. And I’d bet the Nucleus has no sound of its own at all; it’s designed to be a silent computer anyway…
