Roon Core + HQPE on 1 PC

Hello all, need some advice…

Last 2 weeks, I’ve been trying to use my 2 licenses for the above software on 1 PC
Looking for playback for my own library DSD 64-256 files + TIDAL streaming to DSD 256/512 in Roon through HQPE.

  1. Euphony OS with Roon and HQPE. It’s running ok … but, another license for Euphony is not an option right now.
  2. Run Roon MOCK + HQPE in Linux, with Ubuntu 22.04 LTS. Doesn’t have any clue to how to.
  3. Windows 10 Pro running Roon, but no HQPE in Windows. It could run in VM and in CMD though.

Info on PC:
ASUS Rampage VI APEX Motherboard X299
CPU: i9 7940x 14C/28T
BaseClock 3.1GHz - intel Turbo 4.4GHz
RAM: Corsair Vengeance PRO 64GB 4 dimms
Internal drive: Samsung 256GB Ssd mounted in CPU storage config…Stupid fast .this hardware is most likely overkill

All devices on CAT 6E cables…No wifi
WAN > router > this pc > router > ALLO USBridge Signature with RooPieeXL (NAA is on) > GUSTARD X16 DAC via usb cable

Btw… Before someone asks … I’ve made a very good trade with my … Mac Mini M1 256 for this HW in used marketplace where I live.

Thnks…

Don’t use PE as it’s made for manufacturers to “embed” in their Linux based products.
Use the desktop as that is for consumers.
