It even retained my recently played and added lists, nice.
I’m trying a DSD64 album with volume levelling, para eq out as DSD64 to a ropieee endpoint (pi4) to a Chord Qutest DAC and noticed it’s showing Processing Speed: 7.7x
If I recall the old NAS on one SSD showed about 2x performance, which looks promising. Docker shows roomserver as using 7% cpu and 2.3GB of the 7.5GB memory. Power socket monitor shows 35-38W, that’s with a 10Gbps network connection.
Playing a standard CD rip shows 90x performance with 1% cpu and 34-36W from the wall.
I might try adding an old SATA SSD, which would allow the drives and cache NVME drives to sleep.
I also got my 4800 plus today
And there is no room app out of the box
Can you guide me ? How to install roon on my nas
I have no knowledge of this
Thank you for the useful guide. I bought a Nucleus One about a year ago and the DXP4800 plus late last year. Would I be able to connect a USB DSD DAC straight to the DXP4800, or would I need a bridge? The DXP4800 is a wonderful piece of kit. I wonder if it would be possible to run ROCK natively in a VM? All good fun, enjoying the music!
I installed a copy of Windows 10 LTSC as a virtual machine on my DXP4800 Plus; then, I installed the Roon server and got it running. It worked but was not as fast as my Nucleus One; I am not surprised! The DXP4800 plus VM does not have any WGL support, nor does it have any sound card support, nor does it have any support for my USB DAC. However, I did manage to use Airplay to cast to my SkyQ box.
