SoundSource does seem to interfere with exclusive mode. I haven’t found a way to make SoundSource truly bypass the roon app. If I enable exclusive mode for my USB DAC in roon, there’s no audio from the DAC regardless of the SoundSource settings. Turning off exclusive mode in roon or shutting SoundSource down brings the audio back.
Looks like this is new and an acknowledged defect.
