It’s your subjective opinion, no one can take that away from you, but that’s all it is.
It’s also not important, I suspect if someone moved from A to B and perceived a downgrade, they’d revert to A again.

I recently went to a NUC this past January from a Mac Mini. I noticed some sound quality improvement along with performance. Not sure why
