Nice musical selection as well!
Woohoo Quadraphonic!! I remember those. An older sibling to MQA, at least as far as marketing is concerned.
You are absolutely correct! I’m sure your Blue Note issue is the preferable one, but the Pure Pleasure is… a pleasure to listen to!
Next “oldie” in my small collection of turntables! A 1960 Thorens TD124 with an SME 3012 MkI on the pretty hideous arm board!
Basic cleansing and re-lubing done, and it’s running beautifully. I will change the plinth and arm board for something better as the. next step!

Time for a little Ambrosia to end the night!
Hana range is excellent, I have the red
Sorry about the mishap…
Regarding the anomalies, sure you’ll get it on track!
Do you use any tools other than ears? Fozgometer, Oscilloscope etc?
I have a Parks Waxwing that I use in line and not as a preamp that has some features. I also have a test LP I thin from Hi-Fi News.
Hey @Michael_Harris ! On your TT, does it have a pad ring that the motor sits on that separates it from the acrylic plinth? I purchased my TT used and the original owner doesn’t recall it. I asked Pro-Ject but they couldn’t locate one for replacement. The manual mentions one though.
It’s a while since I put it together, but yes there was a small white foam type pad that the PSU sat on. I think you could easily have one cut out of some dense foam.
Perfect. Thanks! Good to know it exists.
