Saw this eagle while off-roading around coal tipples in the outdoors, but on the ground… scan from print from Minolta x570 days – probably ASA200 on Vivitar zoomed to 260mm.
They said… “You can’t take a picture from far through so many trees” and I said, “Hold my beer, the story is what counts.”
Like Szell’s mono “Rings,” Sometimes you must perceive the great performance through the pops and hiss and “non-silence” of the media to hear the real story.

When I futz with my vintage stuff, Elle usually feels the need to pitch in. That’s a Marantz 2270 which still works and sounds great as it approaches its 50th birthday next week.

Not meaning to disrupt the thread, but I owned a 2270 back in 1974, and it was stolen. I have wanted to replace it ever since.
