Oh that I understand with my two furry children from another mother (and father). Terrible behaviour multiple times a day, and woe betide anyone that wants to park their car and get out and close the door within 200Mt of our house.
It makes one feel old

In a way. It is meant to be soaked in cold water and/or put in the freezer. It was over 100 last week with high humidity in the far North of New York. We don’t usually see those temps and I am a cold weather kid.

I took delivery of a fairly old, well used Nikon 400mm f/2.8 VR today. Always lusted after one back in the day, but the £10k price tag was well out of my reach. She’s a bit of a beater. Cosmetically rough, but mechanically functional. A bit like my 56 year old self!

You simply cannot beat a fast lens , in the day I managed a 100 F2.8 Zuiko but never managed a BIG Olympus , I had a Tamron 300 mm 2.8 that was just wow for wild life
Mind you the subject matter counts , how many Bonio’s did it take

With the 200mm f/2 VR and the 400mm f/2.8 VR and a couple of tele-converters, I’m all set now! I had a Sigma 500mm f/4.5 a few years back when I did a lot of wildlife photography. It was a nice lens, but the Nikon 400 f/2.8 is in a completely different league!
Taking photos of Stan can be an exercise in frustration! With the aid of a few treats, I got lucky last night
