What is the latest concert you've been to? [2016-2019]

Caught a great Billie Holiday tribute at the legendary Apollo here in NYC earlier this month.

Performances by Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Rickie Lee Jones, William Bell, Southside Johnny, and the inimitable Bettye LaVette :ok_hand:

Another one - Marty Stuart on his “Way Out West” tour.

This is also my favorite CD of 2017.

Just got home after enjoying The Rosellys, The `flyin’ A’s and Fred’s House. They all literally rocked the house and are a reminder of just how much fun live music really is.

The view from my seat, of The Rosellys (Duo set) luckily I get to film it.

The Flyin’A’s in fine form

The Stage is set

Fred’s House. A great live act.

Roger Waters - Us & Them tour - SAP Arena, San Jose, 07th June.

Spectacular show, both musically & visually !

Counterprogramming. 90-year old Tony Bennett, Mystic Lake Casino Theater, June 9, outside of Minneapolis, Minnesota. He still has the pipes. Our 83-year old mother was like a teenager. And then she won big at a slot machine afterwards.

Billy Joel upcoming at Target Field in Minneapolis on July 28.

Weds evening at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

We went to see Brooks Williams at Dunfermline Folk Club on Wednesday. Brilliant. He was supposed to be playing with Sally Barker buy Sally’s car broke down near Alnwick so she missed the show. Brooks did a great job though and had the audience enthralled.
He was surprised but pleased to see us there as we are normally at Essex area gigs. It was nice for him to see some familiar faces when the pressure was on.

I see @ncpl beat me to it, but tonight with a couple of friends at the RAH.

My eyes are still adjusting…

There was a fair bit of disagreement between us about how live (if at all) it was. I wasn’t convinced. Was glad to have my ACS earplugs with me again too.

The only slight downer was I had two extra unused seats because my wife couldn’t go and the ‘anti tout’ ticket policy is so ridiculous it meant two people had to miss it. I know they have to deal with the issue, but there’s got to be a friendlier way. Anyway, apart from the waste of that £200, it was great.

Ralf definitely plays melody but it is hard to see who else did what.
The result is great regardless.

Was a bit tired when I posted last night - so just in case it wasn’t clear - agreeeed!

Anathema last night in a small venue. Sound mix was not very good, but we we’re pleasantly surprised how good the singer actually is…

Anyways, I made a recording of the opening song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUr83wBB-qU&t

Saw Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie at Wolf Trap last night. Awesome show.

Jackson Browne last night at the Birmingham Symphony Hall. Great show.

Roger Waters here in Tacoma! What an amazing show and a total assault on the senses! Literally pig drones flying around! What a great mix of old songs and some good new stuff too!

VVVI’ve been a bit tardy with this the last gig on his European tour Alejandro Escovedo backed (and supported) by the wonderful Don Antonio.

Best gig of the year to date. One of those evenings where everything clicked

I see there is an American tour underway, I highly recommend, as well as Don Antonio if they’re playing near you.

Even BP Fallon gave it a lash.

The taxi driver had never heard of them which makes the iconic 4 lectures all the more amazingly iconic.

I’m glad I went as it was an experience, wouldn’t be rushing back though, whereas I’d go to 5 in a row of Escovedo/Antonio - for the same price!

Caitlin Canty last night at the Union Chapel

Did she cover ‘Upside Down’ from Diana Ross lol

No but she did do Lionel Richie’s Dancing on the Ceiling.
