Don’t knock it if you haven’t listened to it.
So I don’t often really refer to the hifi system
Itself much when I’m posting these. However this album is an excellent test of spacial imaging both width and depth and also of resolution and tonality.
My speakers excel at resolution and imaging and eyes closed with this album, the smokey jazz bar opens up around me and you can feel the width and depth of the space. Every instrument can be placed in a perfect sonic landscape.
Sufficiently good enough to make me think my neighbour was shouting at something, was just a distant voice in the recording. It felt “present”
Cracking stuff. And reminds me why I have zero desire to change any aspect of my system!
Very foot tappy especially…‘Pay Me My Money Down’
Wish I’d been there!
Just listen to ‘Too Much to Lose’
it is obscene!
Been tempted, any good?
Listened to it yesterday en route to office, very good album and nicely recorded to boot.
My kind of Jazz, I can listen to Tsuyoshi Yamamoto any time and thoroughly enjoy.
That is such a heart lifting joyful album. Amazing. The DVD is well worth checking out too. It’s all such fun.
I’d suggest checking out the Dan Nimmer Trio (tea for two). for similarly feeling sounds!
