Great album - and guest vocalist James LaBrie even sounds more-or-less in tune, which is not something you can always say about his Dream Theater performances :upside_down_face:. Thanks @AceRimmer for the recommendation.

I tend not to post in here any more as I fear the vast majority of my choices are not overly popular …:joy:

I don’t think you need worry about popularity. Whatever you post here will be ground for exploration by the rest of us!

Terry keeps his clips on, pure magic. A CD I had to own for those times when you just need to hear it… :joy: :joy: :joy:

Ain’t No Sunshine
(Without Bill)

There is no sweeter voice in reggae than Horace Andy. His two covers on this are simply gold! John Holt does a fair job on the flip side, but I far prefer the King Tubby dub version to finish off the disc.
Horace Andy & John Holt
Ain’t No Sunshine/A Quiet Place (2003)
I think the original recording was '73.
Horace Andy

Ain’t No Sunshine can be found on a few compilations, I can’t recall which off the top of my head & also You Are My Angel (1997)
You Are My Angel
(He does a fine version of Dream Lover - Bobby Darin - the riddim is really tight)

One of my fav Aus bands:
The Triffids
Ain’t No Sunshine

Ain’t No Sunshine
I recall clearly getting them off to 3PBS on time. Those were the days - going to gigs with the band!

Roy Ayers
Ain’t No Sunshine (1973)
(From one of Roy’s funkiest albums)

Isaac Hayes
Ain’t No Sunshine (Live 1972) (Isaac Hayes at Wattstax 2003)

I think Wattstax is a far better album, albeit not as complete.

Ain’t No Sunshine (Live at Sahara Tahoe1973)

I couldn’t agree more although Cornell Campbell can run him close on occasion IMO. Horace also did vocal duties on a few Massive Attack tracks and tours. Gorgeous voice and can make anything sound laid back.
