It was last night and it was very good indeed thanks. The new tracks came over really well live. An I’ll advised monologue aside all was good.

Cocteau Twins’ Elizabeth Fraser Releasing New EP on Record Store Day 2022
Sun’s Signature is a new project from Fraser and Damon Reece

Cocteau Twins’ Elizabeth Fraser will release a new EP on Record Store Day, which takes place on Saturday, April 23, 2022. Sun’s Signature is her project with partner Damon Reece (a drummer who has played with Massive Attack, Spiritualized, and more). Their self-titled 12" EP features five songs and is being released via Partisan.

Some of the songs from the project have familiar names—“Underwater” is the name of a single she released in 2000. Two of the other songs, “Golden Air” and “Make Lovely the Day,” have been performed live.

It does, doesn’t it? I was surprised to see it received no hearts at all here. It’s really quite stunning in al its playfulness and calm serenity.

She is a great Mozart interpreter, and this complete sonata recording is one to enjoy again and again
I enjoyed some of the pieces on my cell phone while away
 just came home today.

I have added it for a listen this weekend.
I have been slacking in my new music.

Thank you both.

Christophe Rousset is one of the harpsichordists I most admire, and so a new release by this master is always an event I am looking forward to. And this release from last Friday has an interesting history to boot

Rousset plays the pieces contained in a manuscript he discovered in 2004 on eBay of all places! Madame ThĂ©obon apparently was one of the courtesans of Louis XIV and is the dedicatee of the manuscript described as a ‘best-of’ late 17th century keyboard pieces in special arrangements. There are some hitherto unknown pieces, too, apart from the arrangements.

The music is played on a recently restored 1704 Dumont harpsichord from Rousset’s own instrument collection, and as expected this is an altogether wonderful album.
