Blood Incantation - Timewave Zero
New Blood Incantation? Great! It’s ambient? No riffs or anything? No death growls? Oh…
When I decided to sample this new release I didn’t know what I was up to… This is an arrangement of Grieg’s famous Op.23 Incidental Music to Peer Gynt for Hardanger-fiddle player Ragnhild Hemsing, accompanied by the fabulous Trondheim Soloists. Well, there are some pieces where the fiddle is replaced by a classic violin (e.g. Solveig’s Song), and this is an altogether charming album—I especially like the pieces with folksy arrangements.
Very nice debut album by this Finish band featuring a mix of progressive-and psychedelic-rock. The longer jams are seven to ten minutes long… I like the retro-feeling of the music.
You know sometimes from the first few beats you know a song is a gem.
This came up on Sarah Picks Roon playlist.

Coincidentally I am listening to this at the very same moment…
