Performed in 2010 (Book 1) and 2011 (Book 2) and released in 2012, this I consider a must-listen for Bach aficionados, for the well thought-out and unpretentious interpretation, and because of the magnificent original Ruckers harpsichord from the Unter Linden Museum at Colmar, France.

Christine Schornsheim is a German specialist for historic keyboard instruments, and her many recordings have been very well received and have won numerous awards.

Thoughts on this? I like his version of 1989 but haven’t listened to this one yet. I’m trying to hold off on having an opinion about him doing it in the first place.

Listening to my local copy of this, which @iamoneagain mentioned on another thread. Doesn’t appear streamable, which is too bad. It’s a pretty good album.

I use “Thorne upon the rose" as a demo/test track off this album.

I can imagine! It’s not just a beautiful album, it’s also beautifully recorded.
