last 2 are in my collection too…
Cracking albums…
But I would say that, wouldn’t I!
Tommy Guerrero
Sunshine Radio (2021)
I feel despite Tommy’s long standing & successful musical career he still is somewhat unknown. I’d suggest that the skateboarding tag, well before his music gets spoken about, has hindered his broader success.
There’s hardly a bad album in his long catalogue. Typically sun drenched desert instrumentals with that tremolo twang, influenced by funk, soul & Latin grooves.
New album coming next month from Aussie proggers Southern Empire.
Deniz Tek
Take It To The Vertical (1992)
The first number of songs in particular are that good, I’d say right up there were some Radio Birdman. Otherwise it’s a fine, albeit a tad patchy. However, it definitely showcases that Detroit ‘rock’ sound that his music under all guises leans heavily upon.
Ran Out Of Water (1992)
Poor quality from the time, but fun vid!
