Sounding good so far, had it on pre order since April , not much longer before release.
Is it possible to be new and used?
Never heard of them, but apparently I am going to see them tomorrow whether I want to or not. So, let’s see what I am in for.
Right, it’s really good, listening to it now
A pretty decent re-release from a few years ago. One of my favourite records. Some may say “easy listening,” Maybe so, but, Paul Williams and Roger Nichols had great chemistry. Also, some nice playing on this album
Not bad, sort of a Southern Rock vibe. Should be able to sit through an hour or two of it for free adult beverages.
I think this album has that early Sabbath sound off to perfection. Tremendous stuff.
P.s the short track at the start can be skipped. Dive straight in from track two
Excellent listening @Enough!
My attention was first drawn to SLEEP when I worked in music shops years ago. There was a sticker on their album, Jerusalem, that read ‘…threatens to eclipse the first four Sabbath albums in a wall of pot smoke and despair’ And it wasn’t entirely hyperbole when we spun the disc. I’ve been a Sleep walker ever since.
The album is now streamable under its original proposed name, Dopesmoker. If you’re interested in recalibrating your sonic DNA with glorious FUZZ, I recommend it highly!
I have a “dodgy” recording of Jerusalem somewhere
. Dopesmoker is great, but I genuinely love this one a little bit more. If only Sabbath had kept it together after the mid 1970’s.
Is it safe to spin two Sleep albums back-to-back? I’m already getting an eardrum-induced contact high from the one I posted! I may have to wait for tomorrow on The Sciences. I’ll report back if I survive.
