Quite apt as Iâm actually in Riverside California right now
And as the âMuppet Maniaâ has spread I found a record store to spend some money at instead.
Picked up four nice lightly used records at $4.88 each( odd pricing).
Wow! I know @Enough and others have been talking up this group for some time now. But Iâm finally getting around to listening to this album and Iâm impressed to say the least.
Unfortunately, it appears that you can no longer get your hands on a physical copy. Even the artistâs website appears to be down. Guess the only way to show your support is via a Qobuz digital download purchase. Nevertheless, thanks to all who put this group on my radar.
They were selling theirs CDs on their site until a short while ago. I thought @Enough also mentioned an introduction to PY vinyl that was coming out.
I was waiting for the one CD I was missing to come back into stock.
I just messaged Lee re the website. I think they may be moving stuff to a new location. The double vinyl of the retrospective album is sold out. Luckily I got a copy . You can grab the flac download from here:
There was plans for a remix and re-release of the first album this year, but the retrospective has gotten in the way of that. The band are now in the studio working on album 5
I thoroughly recommend the retrospective album. ÂŁ15 for a lengthy double album download is worth it.
Its the first album that I am missing, I have the other 3 on CD (thanks to your good self).
I will start to follow them on BandCamp as they were not previously on there and that is my preferred place to buy from
I should mention that some of the songs on the retrospective have either been re-recorded or remixedâŚfor the better.
Football fact. The band are âblue nosesâ ( Everton fans) The track âPut It Outâ mentions ex Evertonian Stuart âJigsawâ Barlow. The nickname Jigsaw came from his habit of falling apart in the box. Scouse humourđ
Weâve just been planning our pre Christmas jaunt up to West Yorkshire. Grabbed a couple of Jane Weaver tickets at the Trades Club, Hebden Bridge, which is a great venue. Matinee performance! First for me.
âCrĂłnicas" is a concept album of progressive rock. Throughout its nine tracks, it tells the story of a person diagnosed with schizoid personality syndrome, the mental labyrinths that this label creates in his mind, makes it difficult for him to adapt to society, an escape into the dreamlike, the limit between reality and fiction, the normal and the abnormal, among other topics.â [bandcamp]
Sounds right up my alley!
Enjoyable new release from Tom Fleming, former member of Wild Beasts.
