Just opened the CD case for Slowhand, and … it’s not the RSO version. FFS
But I can’t find an exact match on Discogs. Runout matches RSO, but label is Polydor. Oh, well. Maybe third time lucky.
So do I, bought when it was released, still a favourite.

It turns out that the disk I bought my father, and picked up this week, is a US release, and one of the last by Matsu$hita Universal Media Services. I doubt it was ever played.

Very Good blues album, the album cover doesn’t shout blues though.
Apparently, the RSO, released in Europe, is based on the 1984 US CD release. All subjective of course. All I know is that the Hi-Res on TIDAL isn’t as good as the Red Book version. The RSO seemed the best bet, but it seems some Discogs sellers don’t look beyond the catalogue number.
I must have done a lot of fat fingering with my discogs catalog…lol.
It insists I now only have the mofi vinyl of Crime, I have two different regular vinyl and possibly three different CD releases.
Oh well…
I have a couple of vinyl, a couple of cd and one cassette version, all intentional purchases.
